Life is like Nature

Just like nature, our life too is full of seasons. Seasons bestow happiness as well as sadness.

Darkness in life

In the same way, seasons accompany storms. Our life too encounters storms. These storms can enter in different forms, shapes, and sizes. Some are short-lived and some stay for an extended period of time. These storms can work both ways. At times, it can bring you closer to your loved ones, and sometimes, it can draw you apart.

The storms of life can be physical, emotional, and spiritual in nature. It is critical to understand that the storms that we experience as human beings do not have any meaning or purpose other than what they are. They can lead us to depression or motivation, depending upon how we choose to deal with them.

There are so many storms in our lives that it is hard to keep track of them all. It is easy to get caught up in the moment and lose sight of the bigger picture.

This can happen to anyone, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or any other characteristic. Spiritual storms

Only you have the power to overcome these situations. It begins by changing your outlook and motivating yourself to come out of the negative emotions and depression these hardships bring in life.

Steps to overcome

Happiness in life

Let’s discuss a few straightforward ways to overcome storms in life.

  1. Theory of perfection – It starts with accepting you cannot decide what is perfect and what is not. What is right and what is wrong. You cannot imagine your life based on other’s perceptions about you. You cannot keep everyone happy and honestly, you should stop trying to. Those who cherish you will be nearby even in your failures. Those who don’t possess your interest in mind will be jealous, even if you are doing something good for them. Remember, Perfection is a myth.
  2. Learn to share – Learn to share your Emotions, Anger, Happiness, Frustration, and Depression. Like they say “Shared joy is a double joy; shared sorrow is half sorrow.” The more you share, the more people will be able to recognize your emotions and comprehend your feelings. This is how you will learn how to express yourself in a healthy way for you and others.
  3. Explore unknown places – This is my personal favorite. Wake up, and leave all your problems behind. Go explore your own happiness without depending on someone to do it for you. Go to places unexplored and achieve your inner peace. Just take care of yourself. Be happy with what you have now. Do something new every day. Don’t be afraid to try out things outside the box. You can always find someone who appreciates what you do. If it doesn’t work out, just move on. The ongoing COVID-19 situation has made this difficult but make sure this is on top of your To-Do list once things go back to normal.
  4. Care for others – Caring for yourself is deeply rooted in caring for others. Foster or Adopt a Pet or help a stray animal. These lovely living beings will give you nothing but love. Support a poor family in supporting their child’s education. Visit an old age home and share laughter with those who are in the autumn of their lives. When we care for others, we cause a ripple effect around us that will bring joy and happiness of unheard proportions.

Life is short, live it to the fullest. Enjoy every moment of your life. Be thankful for the air, the trees, the sky, the sun, the moon, the rains, the night, the mornings. In short, be thankful for everything around you.

Remember, your choices in life are responsible for what you ultimately do with it.
